The Canterbury "Target Mizer" coin operated trap counter is the answer to the shooter's desire for self service and the gun club's need for cost control.

The "Target Mizer" is an easy way for Gun Clubs to operate unmanned practice traps/fields, particularly when combined with a voice release system.  Shooters simply insert a pre-purchased token into the coin box to activate the trap.  The "Target Mizer"  can be programmed to provide between 1 and 31 targets per token.  Since the counter is always keeping track of targets and tokens, an unlimited number of tokens can be inserted at any time... even in the middle of a squad!  The "Target Mizer" also keeps track of how many targets were thrown and tells you when to fill the trap!

Consider these ideas to provide shooters with more flexibility while increasing revenue for the club:

Open up unused practice traps during registered competition.  Program the token counter for 10 targets and sell tokens at 1/2 price.  Make sure shooters know that they can practice at any time!

Set up a practice trap to throw only hard rights or lefts.  Sell tokens so that shooters can practice those tough targets.

Sell tokens at a "baker's dozen" rate.  Reward shooters that are your best customers.

Give tokens away as small prizes.  Program your token counter accordingly.

Set up a practice trap for 27-yard handicap.  Allow your shooters to try shooting from the "back fence" without having to compete.

The "Target Mizer" token coin box is completely weatherproof and can be left outside.  The unit is designed to be portable and can easily be moved between traps.  While we suggest that the "Trap Mizer" simply be placed on the puller's chair, it can optionally be mounted on a pole, gun rack, in a mailbox, or other convenient fixture.

The token coin box can be quickly programmed to assign any value between 1 and 31 targets per token.  You also program between 0 and 30 “reserve” targets to allow for breakage and "seeing one".

The token coin box has five credit indicator lights which illuminate sequentially as tokens are inserted.  As credits are used, the lights go out one at a time.  Once all paid credits are used up, the last light goes out and the reserve targets start being used.  If all the reserve targets are used, the trap is then deactivated.

The "Target Mizer" token coin box can also be programmed to stop the trap after a pre-programmed number of targets are thrown.  The token coin box will rapidly flash its lights to alert shooters and club personnel that the trap needs to be filled.  Once filled, a button inside the trap house resets the system, and shooters can continue from where they left off.
